Build a bookshelf

I want to build a solid bookshelf for my living room. I've been leaning books in wobbly towers on the floor for months. It feels more tiring to try to find the one that I'd want in the store

I ordered planks of pine, sandpaper, and a new drill bit. My garage is now a makeshift workshop, and I spent Sunday afternoon measuring twice and cutting once (mostly). So now I have to get this thing assembled and stained.

There's just something so permanent and proud about having a piece of your home that you built yourself.
