I've always been more of a book worm. If I have to choose between reading and watching - for sure I will read (and yeah I'm one of those people who don't exactly believe in film adaptations). Also, I find it really hard to sit through a 2 hour long movie because I get distracted too easily. With reading it's just easier and i don't know why. Maybe I'm just used to it. Normally I watch around 10-15 movies a year and that is not a lot.
I started my first year of college last month and there are people that I love hanging out with who always mention different movies and quote them. And I haven't even seen any Tarantino film (same with other famous directors). I feel a little ashamed and uncultured so I want to change it by watching more of cinematography classics (5 a month at least).
Any pieces of advice are well-appreciated!
